Day 0 Juneau, Alaska

Juneau is the only U.S. state capital with no roads leading into or out of town. The city is surrounded by nature, including forested islands, quiet inlets and coves, and rugged coastal mountain ranges. This makes it a great place to see whales and other wildlife. Take photos, go fishing, hike, kayak, or just sit back, relax, and watch the majestic nature pass by.

Day 1 Tracy Arm, Alaska

Tracy Arm Fjord is an approximate 30 mile long fjord, a narrow inlet created by glacial activity, with nearly a quarter of its area covered in ice. In fact, it encompasses some of Alaska's largest glaciers, including the twin Sawyer glaciers, which often expel enormous chunks of ice into the waters below in a magnificent process known as calving.

Day 2 Frederick Sound, Alaska

Frederick Sound or Prince Frederick Sound is a passage of water in the Alexander Archipelago in southeastern Alaska. Frederick sound is one of the best environments in the entire world for studying and observing the feeding habits of the humpback.

Day 3 Icy Strait, Alaska

Icy Strait Point is a privately owned tourist destination just outside the small village of Hoonah, the largest native Tlingit Indian settlement in Alaska. As one of the best places in the world to see whales, and a darn good spot to view bears, Icy Strait/Hoonah is among Alaska's most beloved destinations for wildlife enthusiasts.

Day 4 Glacier Bay, Alaska

Glacier Bay National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with many glaciers to see; past visitors rave about its scenery, which includes tidewater glaciers, glassy water, mountains and wildlife such as whales, harbor seals, otters and brown bears.

Day 5 Glacier Bay, Alaska

Glacier Bay National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with many glaciers to see; past visitors rave about its scenery, which includes tidewater glaciers, glassy water, mountains and wildlife such as whales, harbor seals, otters and brown bears.

Day 6 Chatham Strait, Alaska

Chatham Strait, or Shee ya xhaak in the Tlingit language, is narrow passage of the eastern North Pacific through the northern Alexander Archipelago, southeastern Alaska. Along the Baranof side, many narrow inlets and secluded bays penetrate deep into the rugged, mountainous interior of the island where you can keep an eye out for wildlife activity.
